Age/Sun Spot Treatment

Using relatively low-energy, short-pulse broadband light, imperfections such as sun spots and other discoloring signs of aging can be gently heated and eliminated, replaced by newer, younger looking skin.

Age/Sun Spot Treatment: How does it work? BroadBand Light (BBL) technology is a treatment breakthrough that can correct a variety of benign skin conditions, such as photo-aged skin, age spots, most brown pigments and redness caused by broken capillaries. BBL offers a safe, non-invasive solution that can be tailored to your individual condition and skin type, providing superior cosmetic results and outstanding satisfaction. These gentle treatments can be used to treat the face, chest, neck and hands—almost anywhere that sun damage shows.

BBL supplies a broad spectrum of light transmitted through a hand-piece placed directly over the skin. The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the melanin when treating pigmented lesions or the blood when treating vascular lesions damaging them. A slight sensation, like the snapping of a small rubber band may be felt. The body’s natural response then removes the injured tissue giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance.

Depending on the condition and the severity of the individual problem, a series of four to six treatments may be recommended. Each treatment usually takes about 45 minutes. BBL treatments produce few side effects and requires little to no alteration in the patients normal routine.
